postage is calculated when you checkout
and is based on how much you spend. this is so that if you buy a more
than one item, your overall postage costs will be lower than if you
ordered each item individually (because it's cheaper for us to post
them together).

- this will add 50p (europe) or £1.00 (worldwide) to your shopping
basket to cover the extra postage cost. you can do this at any point
while you shop, but you only need to add it once per order, regardless
of how many items you purchase. click

we aim to ship all orders within 24 hours. if we're
ever unable to do this we will inform you as soon as possible by email.
we use first class postage to addresses within the uk and airmail
to overseas. unless otherwise stated, all item listed online are currently
in stock and available.
online payment is hosted by paypal's
secure shopping basket. we accept all major credit/debit cards as
well as payment through your paypal account if you have one (you do
not need a paypal account to make a purchase, nor will you need to
sign up for one).
when you add items to your shopping basket and when you make your
purchase, you will be taken to the secure paypal site (a new window
will open*). paypal
protects your financial information with industry-leading security
and fraud prevention systems. none of your financial information is
not shared with us (local kid). once
you've made your purchase, paypal will email you a receipt for the
transaction. and you'll be delivered back to the local kid site. safe
and sound. hmmm.
*NOTE:
when this window opens, a message may appear which says 'this page
contains both secure and non secure items' - this is nothing to worry
about, the nonsecure item is the local kid logo which appears at the
top of the paypal page if you click 'yes' to 'display nonsecure items'.
whether you click 'yes' or 'no' will make no difference to making
your purchase or to your security.

we also accept by payment by postal order, cheque (in
pounds sterling only) or international money order made payable to
'local kid' and sent to: po box 2543, bristol, bs3 9as, uk
we cannot be responsible if you choose to send cash in the mail. we
can of course accept cash as payment, but please wrap notes well and
tape any coins to a piece of card. like it or not, there are thieving
posties out there.
