October ;
Chile, and specially chilians, treated me very well while I was there. Carlos came to pick me up at the airport and then we moved to Valparaiso, where I stayed most of my time. I was living with really kind peoples, that I didn't know before... Bernardita, Queso and Miguel. This was a really nice house by the way, pretty close to poet Pablo Neruda's one. I ate loads of "pan y mantequilla", and hear lots of good practice of Wataflayer orchesta, and Pichanga. I spent most of my days walking around the city, on the hills surrounding downtown, and most of my nights drinking beers in different bars, which doesn't close, so that you can easily stay two days without sleeping or going out, it's crazy and very dangerous for me.
Anyway I had a really good and non-stressed time there, everyone was so gentle and in some ways, parents for me. I practiced a lot while I was there with really good musicians and it ended up as the new Chilian Ladybird. I was still playing guitar and singing, but Beto played drums louder than anyone on earth, Tevo was playing accoustic guitar, saxophone, ( and drums on one song ), Nara was playing electric guitar as well, and some keyboards, Queso played the bass, and Miguel joined us on one song to play saxophone. I think Ladybird never sounded so powerfull and as I ever wanted it to sounds like. In fact it was really really fantastic for me.
So I stayed a month and a half, and on the 3d of November, just after playing a really good gig in "La Piedra Feliz", i took the plane for an horrible journey... I feel now like i already want to go back there.
